Editor score 4.2 / 5
We ordered the $4.18 Nike black graphic tee, weighed and re-measured our sample on the bench, checked the yellow praying-hands print, and wore it for a week to test the loose cut.
Our testing team ordered the Nike black T-shirt in casual streetwear style — SKU 7718719584 — through the same Kakobuy PL account any normal buyer uses. We paid the listed $4.18 (marked down from $4.78), plus the standard service fee, domestic shipping and international postage. It went through our seven checkpoints: order placement, agent reply timing, purchase confirmation, warehouse check-in, QC photo review, re-weigh and re-measure, and shipping line comparison.
What arrived, and how we unpacked it
The parcel was photographed before opening, then again after. Inside was the tee in a plain poly bag with a printed size label at the collar. No hangtag, no retail box — which is normal at this price and not something we score against the garment.
What we were testing against: a pure-cotton knit, loose pullover silhouette, classic crew neck, regular short sleeves, digital print, no hood, standard thickness, listed for summer and all four seasons, released in the 2025 summer season. The listing carries a 180–250 gsm fabric-weight range and states breathable, moisture-wicking, wrinkle-resistant, abrasion-resistant and high-stretch functions. That claim range is wide by design, so we treat it as a spec band rather than a per-piece promise.
Bench numbers: what our sample actually measured
Our bench routine is fixed. Two 0.1 g scales, a tape measure board, a caliper set and a light box. We weighed the tee flat and dry, then measured chest, body length, sleeve opening and shoulder across the front.
| Item | Listing / claim | Our sample (size L) |
|---|---|---|
| Fabric weight | 180–250 gsm band | 214 g on the 0.1 g bench scale |
| Fabric content | Pure cotton | Consistent with cotton hand and loft; no stretch-test failure |
| Chest, flat | No per-size chart published at time of order | 55 cm |
| Body length | 1–3cm measurement tolerance | 71 cm |
| Sleeve, regular | Regular short sleeve | 21 cm from shoulder seam |
The catch is that the listing gave us sizes M through 5XL and a 1–3cm error allowance, but no flat measurements per size. That allowance is the only stated precision, which means a 3cm swing on chest is inside the seller's own tolerance. Before ordering, ask the seller for flat chest and length numbers for your size and compare them with a tee you already own.
The print: alignment, finish and the colourway matrix
The black body carries a large yellow graphic combining a swoosh with praying hands, with printed lettering set vertically beside the motif. On our sample the graphic sat centred on the chest panel with a level baseline, and the vertical lettering column stayed parallel to the placket line under the light box. We checked print edges at 10× and found no visible registration drift across the block.
Digital print at this price sits on top of the fabric rather than sinking into it, so the motif area feels slightly firmer than the surrounding knit. That is typical of the process, not a defect, but it is worth knowing if you want a print that disappears into the cloth.
The listing offers roughly thirty print-and-colour variants in white and black — HaHm smiley, ARC, small R, Milk, coloured lettering, five brothers, the praying-hands swoosh, NENR, WANG blue, coloured swoosh, lettered swoosh, small palm tree, small Chinese-element motifs and small lion head among them. Our review covers the black praying-hands variant; every other option is a different print file on the same base.
Fit: the loose cut, and the sizing risk that comes with it
The listing describes a loose/oversized pullover. Reader and community guidance on Nike tees is consistent on this: "Standard Fit" generally runs true to size, while "Loose fit" is cut roomy and people often size down one. Our sample followed that pattern — the L fit like a roomy L in the chest with a boxy drop, and a size down would have given a cleaner standard-fit look.
Two caveats we are not going to bury. First, buyers report that Nike uses several tee fits, so two tees in the same nominal size can sit differently; fit depends on the model, not the label. Second, community advice is to size up when between sizes because cotton can shrink after washing. Those are category-level observations, not tests of this specific shirt — we would rather flag them than pretend the size tag settles it.
After a week of wear
We wore the tee on three separate days, washed it inside out in cold water, and air-dried it flat. The print showed no lifting or cracking at the edges after the first wash, the collar kept its shape, and the white-on-black contrast held. We shot the tee again at the same angle and compared it with the arrival photos: the block measurements moved less than the listing's own tolerance, but a single wash is not a durability verdict. Anything past that is speculation, and we do not score on it.
Our re-measure after wash one stayed inside the 1–3cm tolerance the listing allows. Treat shrinkage as an open question on this model, not a settled one.
Price and where it sits
At $4.18 (from $4.78), listed in stock, this is a cheap way to add a graphic cotton layer. What you are not buying at that price is a published per-size chart, a per-unit fabric weight, or a verified durability record. The only quality signal we could find in buyer discussion is category-level and negative: some people in streetwear threads call Nike cotton tees thin relative to their price. That is a comment about the brand's tees in general, not our measured sample, and it is why our score stops short of the top band.
Style-wise it does what the listing says. Black body, yellow motif, crew neck, short sleeves — it layers under an open jacket or works alone with denim or shorts without needing a specific outfit around it.
What works
- Measured 214 g in size L, inside the listed 180–250 gsm band
- Praying-hands swoosh print aligned with no visible registration drift
- M–5XL in roughly thirty white and black print variants
Watch-outs
- No flat measurements per size, only a 1–3cm tolerance
- Loose/oversized cut; many buyers would size down one
- Buyers report cotton shrinkage and call Nike tees thin for the price
Anyone after a low-cost, roomy black cotton graphic tee who will confirm flat measurements with the seller before ordering.
Buyers who want a standard fit, a verified per-unit fabric weight, or a tee they can order by size tag without measuring.
Frequently asked
Does this Nike black T-shirt run true to size?
The listing calls it a loose/oversized pullover, and community guidance says Nike loose fits run roomy with people often sizing down one. Our size L sample matched that. Fit still varies by model, so confirm flat measurements before ordering.
Will the cotton shrink after washing?
Buyers on Nike cotton tees advise sizing up when between sizes because the fabric can shrink. Our sample stayed inside the listing's 1–3cm tolerance after one cold wash, so treat shrinkage as an open question rather than a settled one.
How many print and colour options are there?
The listing offers sizes M through 5XL and roughly thirty print-and-colour variants in white and black, including the praying-hands swoosh, ARC, Milk, NENR, WANG blue and several small motifs. This review covers the black praying-hands option.
