About Superbuy
Superbuy is a China-based purchasing and freight-forwarding service for overseas shoppers, running since 2012. It buys from Taobao, Tmall and other Chinese platforms, inspects goods in its own warehouse, stores them free for 90 days and consolidates them into international parcels shipped on 100+ routes to more than 200 countries. Basic purchasing fees are waived for life.
Superbuy was founded in 2012 and helped pioneer the reverse cross-border shopping model: instead of selling goods itself, it buys on behalf of overseas customers from Chinese marketplaces and then forwards the parcels abroad. The service covers the whole chain — sourcing links from Taobao, Tmall, 1688, JD, Weidian and other platforms, placing and paying for the order, receiving the goods in a Guangdong or Hong Kong warehouse, inspecting them, storing them and finally packing and shipping them internationally. Three things define the model. First, basic purchasing fees are waived for life, so the cost of the service sits in shipping and optional extras rather than in a per-order commission. Second, the warehouse is free to use for 90 days, which lets buyers accumulate items from several sellers and ship them as one parcel instead of paying several international freight charges. Third, buyer choice is preserved: 100+ shipping lines are filtered against the contents of your parcel so only routes that accept your goods are offered. Superbuy also runs a public product-search tool, commonly called the Superbuy Spreadsheet, which gathers product links, images, prices and store details from Chinese platforms into a browsable table. Buyers use it to compare sources quickly, then paste the chosen links into Superbuy to place the purchasing order. The company states it serves more than 200 countries and regions, provides bilingual customer service and accepts payment in multiple currencies. Fee and rate data on this page was recorded in September 2026.
What works well
-
Lifetime waiver of basic purchasing agent fees, so the platform earns mainly on shipping and optional extras.
-
One of the longest-running agents in the market, operating continuously since 2012.
-
Free standard appearance inspection with three item photos once goods reach the warehouse.
-
90 days of free storage, which makes it practical to buy across several weeks and ship once.
-
Reported exchange rate of roughly 6.19 CNY per USD is competitive against many rival agents.
-
Cost-effective top-up routes: Wise and bank transfer are the cheapest, and Alipay and WeChat top-ups carry no fee.
-
Unusually wide payment coverage for this category, including credit cards, Apple Pay, Wise, Alipay, WeChat Pay and Bitcoin, plus local wallets for Europe, Latin America and Southeast Asia.
-
100+ international shipping lines and delivery to more than 200 countries, with a shipping calculator to compare routes before you commit.
-
Parcel consolidation and packaging options such as box removal and reinforcement that cut volumetric freight cost.
-
Bilingual customer service and multi-currency payments, which suits buyers who do not read Chinese.
What to check
-
International freight is charged as a deposit based on estimated weight. The final cost is recalculated at packing, so refunds to your balance — or small top-ups — are routine rather than a problem.
-
Optional services that alter the item, such as shoe-box removal, tag removal, ironing and power-on testing for electronics, make the order non-returnable. Choose them deliberately.
-
Storage is free for 90 days; extended storage is a paid add-on and items left far beyond the agreed period can be treated as abandoned.
-
Customs rules restrict counterfeits, large quantities of powder or liquid, electricals, drugs and food. If a parcel is seized, clearance and legal consequences are the buyer's risk.
-
Carriers remove sensitive items such as essential oils, solutions, lubricants and glues from a parcel so the rest can ship; the loss is not covered.
-
Orders placed on second-hand platforms carry a 20 CNY service fee per order and are not eligible for return or exchange.
-
Transit time, mail restrictions, duties and taxes are controlled by third-party carriers and customs, not by the agent.
-
All fee, rate and payment figures here were recorded in September 2026 and should be re-checked on the agent's own fee page before ordering.
Is Superbuy a legitimate shipping agent?
Superbuy has been operating continuously since 2012, making it one of the earliest reverse cross-border shopping platforms in China, and it is operated by DOT Technology Hong Kong Limited (registration no. 72396324). Third-party traffic estimates cited by the platform put it above 2.65–2.75 million monthly visits, and it consistently ranks among the larger agents in this category. Our testing team found the standard flow — submit link, pay, inspect, store, consolidate, ship — matches what the site advertises, and the public statements about risks, restrictions and non-returnable services are unusually explicit for this sector. The main caveats are the ones the platform itself lists: freight is estimated rather than fixed, customs outcomes are outside its control, and optional services can remove your return rights.
Where Superbuy is popular
Traffic data reported by the platform places its largest audiences in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and France. That spread shows up in the payment lineup as well: alongside cards, Wise, Alipay and WeChat Pay, Superbuy supports regional wallets such as iDEAL, Bancontact, EPS, MB WAY, BLIK, MyBank, Trustly, PIX, Mercado Pago, Kakao Pay, GCash, DANA, PayNow, Touch 'n Go and PromptPay. Buyers who top up in their own currency should compare the local-wallet fee against the Wise or bank-transfer route before paying.
How the shipping and consolidation side works
This is the part that decides your bill. Superbuy holds purchases in a Guangdong or Hong Kong warehouse free for 90 days, so you can spread buying across weeks and then submit one parcel instead of several. Freight is charged as a deposit against estimated weight, recalculated once the parcel is packed and weighed — refunds to your balance are routine, and so are small additional charges when a parcel turns out heavier or bulkier than estimated. More than 100 lines cover 200+ countries and regions, and the platform only offers routes that accept the specific goods in your parcel. Because carriers bill on the greater of actual and volumetric weight, packaging matters: shoebox removal, vacuum compression and foil or bubble wrap options change both the price and the risk of damage. Once dispatched, transit time, mail restrictions, duties and taxes are in the hands of third-party carriers and customs, and the platform states plainly that it cannot guarantee those outcomes.
Payment methods and top-up fees
Superbuy accepts more payment types than most agents in this category. Alipay and WeChat Pay top-ups carry no fee but can take 1–60 minutes to credit; Wise and bank transfer are the cheapest funded routes, with the platform reporting a roughly −3.13% adjustment on Wise bank transfers; credit card and Apple Pay top-ups were reported at about +3.94%. Bitcoin is also accepted, which is rare among buying agents. Local wallets carry their own per-transaction pricing, reported in September 2026 as: MyBank 1.5% + €0.22; Kakao Pay 2.7% + $0.30; GCash 2.7% + $0.30; PromptPay 2.5% + 15 THB; PayID 2.9% + $0.30; PIX 2% + $0.05; Trustly 3% + $0.40; iDEAL 2% + €0.30; EPS 2% + €0.30; PayU 2% + €0.30; MB WAY 1.5% + €0.15; Bancontact 0.5% + €0.30; BLIK 2% + 0.7 PLN; BANCOMAT Pay 1% + €0.10; DANA 2.5%; PayNow 1.5%; Touch 'n Go 2.5%; Mercado Pago in Mexico 3.5%; GrabPay in Malaysia 2.5%; Turkish bank cards 3.8%. Currency conversion charged by a wallet or bank is the buyer's responsibility. Treat all of these as a snapshot and confirm on the platform's current payment page.
Value-added services and what they cost
Standard inspection is free and covers appearance — style, colour, size and model — with three photos per item. Beyond that, the September 2026 fee sheet lists paid extras: detailed inspection $0.88 per piece, detailed photography $0.48 per piece, second inspection $1.00, power-on testing for 3C and electricals $1.93, product video $3.23, live model try-on photos $4.84, ironing $3.23, trimming loose threads $0.80, removing product tags $0.48, splitting or discarding items $0.30, plastic sealing $1.61, bubble-column packaging $0.80, dust bags $0.64, extended storage $1.61 per month, custom EPE foam reinforcement $3.71 plus materials, vacuum compression bags $2.74 each and wooden crate reinforcement $40.38. Parcel-level options include priority shipping, moisture-proof bags, stretch film, packaging-process video, foldable shoeboxes, corner protectors and custom packaging. Free return and exchange allowances scale with how many you request in a month. The crucial constraint is that box removal, tag removal, ironing and power-on testing all make an item non-returnable, so decide before you submit.
Finding items to send
Superbuy's spreadsheet-style product search is a discovery layer rather than a shop. You enter keywords, filter by category and price range, and read results as a table of links, images, prices and store details so several candidates can be compared side by side. When you settle on items, copy the links into Superbuy to create the purchasing order, which then moves through the inspection, storage and consolidated shipping stages. It saves time on manual browsing, but it only summarises third-party listings — it is not a quality check, and the product you receive is still whatever the original seller ships.
